Allen Pitts is a business analyst with experience in aligning the needs and goal of
business enterprise with Information Technology systems. Strengths have been acquired in requirements gathering
and project management. Maturity in planning and priortizing projects including the scope, cost,
schedule, risks, procurement, and communication of projects has been attained. Technical skills include Visual Basic,
Visual Basic.NET, C#, SQL Server, ASP, ASP.NET. Unified Modeling Language, information architecture,
Web design & development and database design and development.
Allen is an XML evangelist. Having worked several projects using XML, the advantages
of using XML, either DTD or schema based, was discovered when the 160 or so
tags available was compared to the plus infinity number of tags creatable
using XML. This flexibility and the ability of XML to be the go between
disparate platforms, languages and applications make it an information technology
powerhouse.
Mr. Pitts holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas,
and Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. He is
Vice President of Member Services for, and serves on the Board of Directors of,
the International Institue of Business Analysts, Dallas Chapter.
In 2005 he obtained the Microsoft Ceritfied Solution Developer, VB.NET, and the Microsoft
Certified Database Administrator. In 2006, he received the Unified Modeling Language
Professional certification from the Object Modeling Group.
Allen grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended Jesuit College Prep there. He now lives in
Dallas with his wife of over two decades, Ginger,
who is a CPA and CFO of a medium sized commercial real estate services firm.
In 1995 Allen and Ginger adopted Phillip, a fifteen-month-old baby boy, from an orphanage in
northern Russia. Phillip is a wide reciever on his high school football team, a
captain on the lacrosse team and the light of Allen's life.
